Our Story

Pathways was founded by two Regina-based Speech-Language Pathologists, who are also Moms raising their families within this community. Read through this page to learn about our Founders and our Mission and Vision for our Centre!

Meet the Founders of Pathways

We are both registered Speech-Language Pathologists, each with a diverse clinical background from our careers and experiences prior to opening Pathways. Through our work, we have had the privilege to know many families, and help them with a wide variety of needs. We know that strong speech, language, and literacy skills are fundamental to everyday life. We also know early intervention and prevention are profoundly important for all children, especially those with cognitive and/or communication delays. This knowledge combined with our passion for helping families has been the driving force for founding Pathways. We want to increase the availability of private therapy services to the people of Regina and create a place that is inclusive, welcoming, and affirming.

Our Mission

At Pathways, our mission is to provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in Regina, Saskatchewan, supporting individuals of all ages and abilities on their unique journeys. With a focus on speech therapy, occupational therapy, parent support services, autism assessments, tutoring, and group programs, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and accepting community for neurodivergent and disabled individuals.

Our core values revolve around promoting inclusivity, understanding, and respect for diverse abilities, recognizing that every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive and reach their fullest potential. Through evidence-based practices and the expertise of our dedicated team, we aim to enhance communication, cognitive, and social skills, allowing our clients to build meaningful connections and lead fulfilling lives. We recognize that each person's journey is unique, and we tailor our services to meet their specific needs, ensuring a personalized and holistic approach to therapy.

Pathways also places great emphasis on supporting families in their pursuit of raising happy, resilient children. We understand that parenting can be a rewarding yet challenging experience, especially when navigating neurodivergence and disability. Thus, we offer comprehensive parent support services, equipping caregivers with the tools and knowledge they need to create nurturing and supportive environments.

Our group programs foster a sense of belonging, providing a space for individuals and families to connect, share experiences, and build a strong support network. Together, we create a community where individuals can celebrate their strengths and feel embraced for who they are.

At Pathways, we are committed to excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration with the wider community to create a more inclusive and accepting society. We strive to break down barriers, eliminate stigma, and champion the rights of all individuals to participate fully in every aspect of life.

Join us at Pathways as we embark on a journey towards a more inclusive future, empowering individuals, supporting families, and nurturing a community where neurodiversity and disability are celebrated and embraced.

Our Story

When we opened in 2018, we did so with two main objectives: 1) To offer Regina’s first dedicated inclusive private preschool, designed to provide direct speech-language pathology support as a fundamental component of the program and 2) to open a private therapy clinic to meet the needs of children and adults in our community.

For the past five years, we have diligently worked towards those two opening goals by growing our teams, offering new programs, and serving many, many families. The global COVID pandemic brought many challenges, variability, and ultimately strains upon our business. We offered our amazing preschool program from 2018-2023, through all the trials of being a start-up business in ADDITION to the pandemic, and in 2023 we made the decision to permanently close our preschool program due to lack of sustainability. We are immensely proud of the program our team offered, and sad to end the preschool era at our Centre; however, we are excited to allow our company to focus exclusively on growing our private therapy services.

In October 2023, we successfully moved into our new larger location at 4420 Albert St. and are continuong to grow our team and services to keep serving our great community! We are so grateful to our amazing team and our amazing clients, who continue to support our vision and mission and who have stuck with us through these years of growth!
