ADHD + Me
An empowering group program designed to build understanding, confidence, and life-hacks for kids with amazing ADHD brains!
Looking for a place where your child can understand and celebrate how their ADHD brain works?
You’re looking for a group program that not only accepts your child for exactly who they are, but also helps them build real insight, confidence, and skills that support their ADHD journey. Maybe you’ve seen other ADHD programs that focus on “fixing” behaviours or pushing kids to conform — using systems like sticker charts, consequences for being impulsive, or overly strict rules that don’t honour how ADHD brains truly work. That’s not what you want for your child.
You want a place where your child can learn about their brain in a positive, empowering way — where they can move, talk, create, and explore tools that actually help, not shame. If this sounds like you as a parent, you're looking for the ADHD + Me Group at Pathways. ADHD + Me is a neurodiversity-affirming group experience where kids ages 9–15 can explore how their ADHD brain works, discover their unique strengths, and build tools to help them thrive, all while having fun, making connections, and being themselves.
THIS PAGE CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE PARTICIPATION CRITERIA AND REGISTRATION PROCESS; PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR READ ALL DETAILS THOROUGHLY.
PATHWAYS IS NOT LIABLE IF A PARENT DOES NOT READ THE INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE REGARDING OUR PARTICIPATION CRITERIA, REGISTRATION PROCESS, OR GROUP PROGRAM POLICIES.
What this program will build in your child:
ADHD + Me is a 4-week group program led by a neurodiversity-affirming Speech-Language Pathologist and is designed to give kids a safe, fun, and supportive space to explore their ADHD brains with pride. This group helps children understand how their brains work, discover their unique strengths, and build real-life tools for success — in ways that feel empowering, not limiting. Each session offers hands-on, engaging activities that connect science with self-understanding, and gives kids a chance to connect with peers who get it.
Core topics across the 4-week group will include:
Understanding how the ADHD brain works
Discovering ADHD strengths and superpowers
Learning brain hacks for tricky moments
Building helpful routines and inner confidence
This group is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach, where kids are never asked to mask, hide, or “fix” themselves — instead, they’re supported in understanding, accepting, and celebrating who they are.
Who should attend Pathways’ ADHD + Me program?
At Pathways, we care deeply about ensuring each child’s success and safety in each group program we offer. As such, choosing the right group for your child is important. Please read through the registration criteria listed below before registering your child. If you are NOT sure if this group is a good fit for your child, contact our team at: ally@pathwayslearning.ca
Your child is a perfect fit for the ADHD + Me program if:
Your child has a confirmed diagnosis of ADHD. At Pathways, we believe in the authenticity of self-diagnosis; however, for the purposes of this group, we will be openly discussing about what it is like to be an ADHD’er and respectfully ask that participants have received a diagnosis from a medical professional in order to participate.
They are 9-to-15 years old and developmentally able to have kid-friendly but in-depth conversations about how the brain works, identifying personal strengths and challenges, discussing emotions such as anxiety, overwhelm, frustration, and exhaustion, and other similar topics of discussion that are best-understood and more successfully navigated with older-aged children.
They would benefit from gaining insight into what it means to be an ADHD’er in terms of strengths, areas of possible challenge, and science-based ways to work with their brain, not against it.
They can be safe and successful in a group setting with a 1:4 adult-to-child ratio. This means that your child is not dysregulated or agitated when in large groups causing them to become unsafe, upset, aggressive, or disruptive). Please note that we care deeply about the safety and success of every child and so this criteria is very important to follow, as we are not able to provide 1:1 support at any time in this program.
Please read this criteria carefully and ensure your child is the right fit for our program. We respectfully need to ensure that all participants are able to be safe and successful at the staffing ratio and benefit from the programming. We reserve the right to discontinue children from the program who do not meet the registration requirements due to safety and/or participation concerns. Children who need to be removed from the group once it has started will not be refunded for the fees paid.
The Important Details:
How it works:
ADHD + Me offers weekly 60-minute sessions over a 4-week block. Your child will attend our group classes on each scheduled day of the program; a caregiver does not stay with them. They, along with a group of same-aged peers, will work together with our team to participate in a variety of fun, creative, and movement-friendly activities - all while learning about how their ADHD brain works, exploring their unique strengths, discovering strategies for handling tricky moments, building confidence in their abilities, and connecting over shared experiences and interests.
Each class will be led and facilitated by a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist, along with additional support staff from our Centre.
Investment:
The fee for the four-week program is $320; this equates to $80 per 60-minute session.
Receipts will be provided so you can claim up to the full amount* on your health insurance under private speech therapy coverage (*depends on individual family coverage amount). Additionally, the Speech-Language Pathologist running the Authentic Connections programs are listed service provider on the provincial Autism Spectrum Disorder Individualized Funding registry.
Please note: The program fee is refundable, less a $75 cancellation charge, until three weeks before the program’s start date.
