Parent Support & Consulting Services

Am I in the right place?

You are looking to deepen your understanding of your child/children and want to create more connection and cooperation within your home. You may have read plenty of parenting books, posts, and forums but nothing seems to feel quite right or relevant to your family. You can envision the type of parent you want to be, or maybe just know what kind of parent you DON'T want to be, and are looking for non-judgmental, compassionate support that also holds you accountable.

You want to learn how to balance being a neurodiversity and disability affirming parent while also upholding expectations and boundaries, and perhaps how to advocate for this same type of balance within your greater community such as at school or with others involved in your child's growth and development.

If this resonates with you, our Parent Consulting services are for you.

Meet Ally Boschman, our Parent Consultant

(She’s also our amazing Clinic Manager!)

As the Pathways Parent Consultant, Ally offers services that provide guidance to parents through the challenges of advocating for, and setting up supports for their neurodivergent and/or disabled children. She helps parents who are needing support understanding their child’s potential (or existing) diagnosis, their child’s needs, and their behaviour. It is this foundational understanding that empowers parents to be effective advocates for their children. Ally works with parents to envision how they want their relationships with their children to look, and offers them the tools and confidence to create a roadmap to get there. She understands that every family has unique needs and values and welcomes families of all shapes, sizes, and neurotypes!

Ally has extensive experience supporting families in the areas of neurodiversity-affirming parenting, connection and repair dynamics, childhood & adolescent development, advocacy within the school and health systems, and humanistic psychology principles. She aims to provide feedback and strategies to empower you in creating deeper and more fulfilling connections within your home and your community, and to provide coaching in effective advocacy skills and language to help you and your child thrive.

Ally has a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Regina and has achieved additional certificates in the areas of parent coaching, communication & attachment development, neurodiversity-affirming parenting, and family wellness. Ally respects that each family comes to her office with their own unique values, beliefs, and experiences and honours these differences.

 Let’s get started…

We start our Parent Consulting services with our Initial Parent-Only Consultations at an investment of $195. The appointment is booked for 75-minutes and is a great opportunity to go over your concerns, goals, and hopes for your family. This session serves as a great starting point and will offer individualized parenting strategies, advocacy support, and personalized recommendations for next steps.

After this appointment, you will receive fully customized parenting support summary. Ally’s summaries are focused on the key areas parents would like support in, with specific recommendations and instructions for strategies and next steps. You will also receive a list of any recommended online resources, reading material, and community programs that may be of relevance.

If follow-up parent sessions are recommended or desired, these are available at the rate of $120 per 60-minute session. In these sessions, we focus on your family values and goals and dive deeper into implementing parenting practices that create an environment for success in living out these values and achieving your goals. As you work to bring these values to life, Ally can provide additional support to lift you up, help you grow your confidence, work through your wonders and worries, and help keep you on the right path for your family.

Throughout your family’s growth and your children’s development, Ally can be there supporting you with life transitions, classroom advocacy, developmental milestones, and more!
