ADHD + Me
An empowering group program designed to build understanding, confidence, and life-hacks for kids with amazing ADHD brains!
Looking for a place where your child can understand and celebrate how their ADHD brain works?
You’re looking for a group program that not only accepts your child for exactly who they are, but also helps them build real insight, confidence, and skills that support their ADHD journey. Maybe you’ve seen other ADHD programs that focus on “fixing” behaviours or pushing kids to conform — using systems like sticker charts, consequences for being impulsive, or overly strict rules that don’t honour how ADHD brains truly work. That’s not what you want for your child.
You want a place where your child can learn about their brain in a positive, empowering way — where they can move, talk, create, and explore tools that actually help, not shame. If this sounds like you as a parent, you're looking for the ADHD + Me Group at Pathways. ADHD + Me is a neurodiversity-affirming group experience where kids ages 9–12 can explore how their ADHD brain works, discover their unique strengths, and build tools to help them thrive, all while having fun, making connections, and being themselves.

What this program will build in your child:
ADHD + Me is a 4-week group program led by a neurodiversity-affirming Speech-Language Pathologist and is designed to give kids a safe, fun, and supportive space to explore their ADHD brains with pride. This group helps children understand how their brains work, discover their unique strengths, and build real-life tools for success — in ways that feel empowering, not limiting. Each session offers hands-on, engaging activities that connect science with self-understanding, and gives kids a chance to connect with peers who get it.
Core topics across the 4-week group will include:
Understanding how the ADHD brain works
Discovering ADHD strengths and superpowers
Learning brain hacks for tricky moments
Building helpful routines and inner confidence
This group is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach, where kids are never asked to mask, hide, or “fix” themselves — instead, they’re supported in understanding, accepting, and celebrating who they are.
Who Should Attend Pathways’ ADHD + Me?
We want every child to be safe and successful.
Please review the registration criteria below before signing up.
Your child is an ideal fit if they meet all of the following:
Diagnosis: Has a confirmed, professional medical diagnosis of ADHD (as we will be openly discussing what it means to be an ADHD'er).
Age & Development: Is 9–12 years old and developmentally ready for mature, kid-friendly conversations about brain function, emotions (anxiety, frustration, exhaustion), and personal strengths/challenges.
Goal: Would benefit from understanding their ADHD, identifying strengths, and learning science-based strategies to work with their brain.
Group Safety: Can thrive safely in a group with a 1:4 adult-to-child ratio. The child must not become aggressive, highly dysregulated, or disruptive in a group, as 1:1 support is not available.
Important Note: To ensure the safety and success of all participants, we reserve the right to remove any child from the program who does not meet these participation or safety requirements. Removals are non-refundable.
If you are unsure if your child meets this criteria, unsure if your child is ready for a group program, unsure about your child’s support needs, it is impossible for our Intake Team to decide this for you without knowing your child. If your child is currently a client at Pathways, please discuss group programs with your child’s clinician(s). If you are NEW to our clinic, it may be best to book an Initial Consultation with a SLP, OT, or Parent Coach to gain a clearer understanding of your child’s readiness.
