Finally Me

A support group for late-diagnosed neurodivergent ADULTS to share, listen,
learn, and connect.

Looking for a welcoming and inclusive space to connect with other late-diagnosed neurodivergent people?

Whether you’ve just received a formal diagnosis or are in the process of self-discovery, it can be overwhelming to begin unpacking a lifetime of missed signs, miscommunications, masking, and misunderstood needs. Finally Me is a space created just for you, a space where you can connect with other neurodivergent adults who have walked a similar path.

This group is for adults who were diagnosed (or self-diagnosed) as Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, or otherwise neurodivergent later in life, often after years of feeling out of step or unsure why certain things felt harder, louder, or lonelier. By creating a community of people with similar experiences, shared struggles, and possibly some common interests, the group intends to help you make sense of yourself and your world, through the power of connection and camaraderie.

Finally Me is led by a neurodiversity-affirming Counsellor (Registered Social Worker) who understands the unique grief, relief, and reprocessing that can follow a late diagnosis and who aims to create a group space to navigate these experiences.

What to expect:

Finally Me offers a welcoming and inclusive space for honest, validating conversation. Each session includes light facilitation by our group Counsellor, but the format allows for open, participant-led discussion. You’re encouraged to come as you are, whether that means sharing, listening, or just existing within the space.

Topics may include:

  • Unmasking and reconnecting with your authentic self

  • Navigating relationships and boundaries post-diagnosis

  • Late-identified grief and self-compassion

  • Sensory needs, burnout, and self-regulation

  • Creating community and finding belonging

  • Making sense of your story (and rewriting it, if you want to)

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t even need to speak if you’re not ready. This group is here to hold space for you while you begin (or continue) to understand yourself in new ways.

This group is led by a neurodiversity-affirming therapist using philosophies and methods that support, understand, and accept neurodivergent individuals within a safe and inclusive space.

This group is for any adult who:

  • Was diagnosed or self-diagnosed as neurodivergent later in life (e.g., autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, OCD, Tourette’s, etc.)

  • Is interested in exploring identity, self-understanding, and community

  • Wants a safe, affirming space to process and connect

  • May feel isolated, burnt out, or like they’re just beginning to meet themselves

Whether you're brand new to the language of neurodiversity or you’ve been quietly putting the pieces together for years, you are welcome here.
