A 5-Week Play-Based Group for Parents and Infants (9–18 Months) Guided by a Speech-Language Pathologist

Looking for a fun way to support your 9–18 month old’s early communication and development while connecting with other parents? You’re in the right place.

First Connections is a professionally guided, play-based group led by one of Pathways’ Speech-Language Pathologists, designed to support your child’s development and empower you as a parent.

Over five weekly sessions, you and your child will play, explore, and learn together while receiving practical, evidence-informed strategies you can use every day at home.

What We’ll Explore Together

Each session blends play, connection, and professional coaching, with a focus on early development across key areas:

Communication Development

  • building early interaction and connection

  • encouraging babbling, gestures, and first words

  • supporting language through everyday routines

  • understanding how communication develops

Feeding & Oral Development

  • supporting positive mealtime experiences

  • cup drinking and soother use 

Social Development & Play

  • early social skills and joint attention

  • learning through play

Whole-Child Development

  • what milestones really mean

  • when to seek support

  • building confidence as your child grows

…and plenty of songs, movement, play, and giggles along the way!

Important Details + Registration:

Cost: $450 (eligible for insurance reimbursement if you have coverage for private speech therapy).
Registration is made for all five sessions; the fee is reflective of 5 sessions at $90 each. This program is not eligible for drop-ins and missed sessions are not eligible for refunds. The fee is paid for the program, in full, at the time of registration to secure your spot in the group.

Location: Pathways Learning Centre(4420 Albert St., Regina, SK)

Format: Small group for comfort and connection


Please note: The session fee is refundable, less a $75 cancellation charge, until three weeks before the session date. Cancellations made within three weeks of the scheduled session WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
